Step 1: After logging in to Instagram, click on the More option at the bottom left. Now go to settings.
Step 2: Click on Accounts Center. Now go to personal details.
Step 3: Here you click on Account Ownership and Control. Now click on Deactivation or Deletion option.
Step 4: Here you will get deactivation or delete your account option. If you want, you can delete the account either temporarily or permanently. Now click on the account you want to delete permanently.
Step 5: If you want to delete the account permanently, click on Delete Account. Then click on Continue.
Step 6: Now you will receive a confirmation code on your email. After entering the code, click on Continue. After this you can Deactivate your account permanently.

Follow the below steps to Deactivate Instagram account through Account Center in Instagram app.
Step 1: After logging into the Instagram app, click on the profile or profile photo on the bottom right.
Step 2: Now click on More Options at the top right. Then click on Settings and Privacy.
Step 3: Now go to Account Center and click on Personal Details option there.
Step 4: Here you go to Account Ownership and Control. Now click on Deactivation and Deletion.
Step 5: Now tap on the account you want to delete permanently.
Step 6: Click on Delete Account here. Then tap on Continue. After this you have to give the reason why you want to Deactivate the Instagram account. Then you will see many options.
Step 7: Choose one reason out of all and go ahead. Now you have to enter your password. Afterwards, you will be able to delete your account.
